Well, Alyssa, I'm here with our family trying to celebrate your life and not mourn your passing. I should be having an adult beverage with you and NOT for you on your 22nd birthday. To say this has been a difficult four months for all of us would be a vast understatement. I can honestly say that there is not a day that goes by without all of us thinking of you. Today, there was family, tears, smiles, balloons, and letters to you for your birthday, And like today you will always be remembered with both tears, and smiles. The process of trying to digest, and understand this will be ongoing and last the rest of our lives. For me there are more questions than answers, more unknown than knowing. I am not the most religious person, and though I want to, I restrain myself from asking the question why . There are many people versed in the understanding of this far more than I, and I admire them for their ability of acceptance. Our lives have forever been changed being family, or friend. You're with papa, and papu so celebrate, we're trying to do the same thing here ! Miss You, Love You.

Just returned from the Holy Land where we visited many a Greek Orthodox church. Each time, I said a prayer for you AND your family. You will always be a special gal to all of us. LOVE, Karen (Prowd)

Hello baby, been thinking about you so much lately, not that I ever stop, but more so lately. Gosh, we miss you soooo much Alyssa. What we wouldn't do to have you back in our lives, even if just for a short visit. You and your sisters are a complete package for us, and without you, a piece of our lives has been stolen. We've done so many things on your behalf these last couple of weeks....sports awards banquet, where we accepted your team sport athlete of the year awared and had a nice visit with Ali, Chris and the girls. Then dinner with Deb before we caught our flight home; graduation where the 4 of us accepted your degree and congratulated all of your, and now our, friends for their success; a grad party that evening with your favorite family, at the Wilcox house; and now we have Brandon here visiting us, and as you know, visiting you at the cemetary. I had a nice chat with Deb today, and I'll be checking in with Ali soon. As doing all of this makes us feel closer to you, we also feel the scab being ripped off a little because it brings us back to..."We should be doing these things with you, not representing you." It's F****** tough! But we do have your sisters, and we have your spirit, and we know we need to keep on truckin', so life keeps going somehow. We will continue to honor your memory, and keep the bond and connections with our so-cal friends that you blessed us with. And one day, we will see you again, where you better be ready for the biggest hug you've ever had, and of course I'll be ready for the usual bear hug you bestow upon me. I love you baby, and will forever enjoy seeing your beautiful face before I close my eyes each night., but would love it if you would come visit me in my dreams too.
